The vehicle above was built for the South Wales Fire And Rescue service after they approached Special Media Projects with a need to engage young drivers in conversation about safer driving. We didnt simply design the vehicle and its equipment, but a process of “sale” for the operators to use.
We designed a flow of engagement, showing the operators how to use the veicle to engage the audience, gain their trust and how to speak to them and change their ideas about driving. Using hazzard perception tests designed by the DVLA, some simple sales techniques and an interactive xbox kinnect as reward, the operators are able to change perceptions and complete an attitude change… which is final the sale, or “buy in” to safer driving.
